18. Amir goes to Kabul so he can try to save Sohrab, his nephew. Once he hears what happened to Hassan, he goes to try and get Sohrab back from the orphanage. I think that this was an important part for Amir. Amir learnes alot about his past and also realizes that he is going to have to go on a mission to save his nephew. He realizes why Rahim Khan called him to Afganistan and tries to save Sohrab.
